Petawawa’s annual multi-day winter celebration is coming up next week, and the town’s Recreation Programmer says attendees have a lot to look forward to.
The town’s 2026 Cabin Fever festival is set to run from February 4th to 8th, featuring a wide variety of events and attractions according to Joe Mick.
Attractions at the event include a “Winter Wonderland Sensory” at the Petawawa Civic Centre, allowing young kids to play and experience the snow in a safe, controlled environment.
Mick says other attractions include a trivia competition sponsored by Royal LePage Scott Edmonds and Associates, a glow skate at the civic centre sponsored by Dr. Beanish and Associates, a “paint and pint” night in partnership with the Dog House Brewing Company and a comedy show at the Civic Centre sponsored by Century 21 Realty.
Many of the events and attractions require advance registration. Mick says people can sign up via EventBrite or through a program called DaySmart.
For his part, Mick said the comedy event was a personal favourite of his last year.
A full schedule is available on the Town of Petawawa website. Any questions can be directed to Mick via email.
