A section of John Street in Pembroke will be reduced to one lane for more than a week as the city carries out borehole drilling.
The City of Pembroke says the lane reduction will be in effect from Thursday, Jan. 29 through Friday, Feb. 6, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The affected area is John Street between Pembroke Street East and Sussex Street.
Drivers are being asked to follow posted construction signage and expect possible delays. The city is encouraging motorists to use alternate routes where possible.
Officials say businesses located within the construction and detour zones will remain open during the work.
The city thanked residents and drivers for their patience, saying the project is part of ongoing efforts to improve local infrastructure.
