Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Pembroke man in connection with a break-and-enter and mischief incident at a downtown business earlier this month.
Police say officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment responded to the incident on Jan. 4. Following an investigation, a 40-year-old man from Pembroke was arrested.
The man is charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence, mischief under $5,000, and three counts of breaching probation.
Police say the accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody. He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Jan. 14.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
