Students at Jeanne Lajoie Catholic School had an unexpected end to the school day Monday. The school says a water leak forced the evacuation of the school and students were sent to the West End Plaza Shopping Centre, where parents were asked to pick them up. The leak was in the elementary pavilion. According to the latest message posted on the school’s Facebook page, the elementary pavilion and daycare will remain closed tomorrow (Tuesday), while the secondary pavilion will be open. Virtual learning will begin tomorrow afternoon for students in kindergarten through grade 6. An email with full details and instructions has been sent to parents, caregivers and guardians.
