The Town of Petawawa’s Economic Development Coordinator says 2025 has been an amazing year for the community.
Rudy Kadlec outlined his perspective on the year that was in an interview:
Looking into 2026, Kadlec also explained that several property development opportunities are now on the horizon for Petawawa:
Kadlec also feels that Petawawa is becoming a less transient community over recent years, with more and more people putting down permanent roots:
Many veterans who have left the army, Kadlec said, have returned to Petawawa and opened up businesses.
Kadlec also outlined the Norman Street Redevelopment Project, which he said the city has been looking into for some time:
He also explained some further plans for the future:
Kadlec concluded by saying Petawawa is always getting bigger and better, and encouraged anyone considering opening a business in town next year to reach out to the Economic Development Department.
