Deputy Mayor Brian Abdallah is seemingly everywhere at once. A huge supporter of the Pembroke community in just about every respect, Abdallah’s generosity with his time and presence is felt across the city, and he never seems to tire.
myFM had the pleasure of sitting down with Abdallah to talk about the year that was and what lies ahead in 2026.
Managing budgets for any individual is a challenge, especially when inflation continues to outpace income. Abdallah is right down there in the trenches when it comes to keeping Pembroke’s books in order:
Abdallah’s name has been synonymous with public transit this past year, and he made good on promises he has been working toward for as far back as three years ago.

Looking toward the future is part of what Abdallah, along with members of council, must do in order to anticipate challenges and opportunities that may not be obvious today but will emerge down the road:
