The Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre has named its newest Executive Director.
According to a press release from the PMRFC’s board of directors, Julie Hollinger was appointed to the position starting on Monday, December 8th.
Hollinger has reportedly worked with the PMRFC for more than a decade, having assumed the role of Acting Executive Director in August.
In past years, she’s worked as the resource centre’s Program Manager and Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
Her appointment comes as the PMRFC works to implement its new five-year strategic plan, which its board of directors says will ensure the services it offers reflect the needs of military families in the area into the future.
The organization is also currently preparing to move to a new location.
“In times of change, the stability, clarity and confidence an Executive Director brings to an organization is even more crucial,” the release reads.
“Julia’s experience, aptitude, and enthusiasm make her the perfect candidate.”
The PMFRC is a federally funded nonprofit charity that supports military families with issues like emergency childcare and mental health services.
