The average temperature in the Ottawa Valley throughout last month was slightly cooler than normal for November, according to Environment Canada.
The agency issued its monthly weather summary for the province of Ontario on Tuesday, December 2nd, indicating that the average temperature across much of southern Ontario – including the valley – was about one degree lower than normal in November.
Southeast of Ottawa, along Highway 416 and towards Quebec, the average temperature was roughly two degrees lower than normal last month.
Meanwhile, higher temperatures than normal were recorded in the far north and northwestern Ontario.
Precipitation levels were roughly in line with their normal values for the month of November in the Ottawa Valley and much of the rest of Ontario, although the northwest was dryer than usual, and the northeast received a significant uptick in precipitation.
Looking forward to December, Environment Canada expects much of the province to remain slightly cooler than normal and for snowfall and precipitation to remain close normal values.
