The Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre is aiming to make holiday wishes come true through its Home for the Holidays adoption campaign, which runs until Dec. 24.
The centre placed 430 animals in homes last year and has already cared for more than 485 animals in 2025. This season, staff hope to find families for at least 40 more. All adopted animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, and go home with Royal Canin food to support their transition.
With more people at home over the holidays, the centre says it’s an ideal time to welcome a new companion. Whether it’s a cuddly cat who has watched others leave or a senior dog with plenty of affection to give, each adoption transforms lives on both sides.
For those unable to adopt, donations help provide shelter and medical care for animals awaiting homes. Supporters can also browse Paws & Give™, the organization’s online store featuring meaningful gifts and toys for shelter animals, with all proceeds helping animals in need.
