One of Pembroke’s favourite sons came home recently with a great big cheque making a whole lot of people very happy.
The Jason Blaine Annual Charity Golf Tournament went this past June and Jason himself came back to town recently to present a cheque for a total of $155,000 to be shared amongst a handful of worthy charities here in The Valley.
One of them is The Robbie Dean Centre and Founder Monique Yashinskie had this to say to Blaine for his generous donation:
Another most worthy cause to receive funds is the Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre headed up by Heather Jobe who also had words of thanks to send to Blaine:
There is little doubt that Blaine will be back next year to once again make his home town of Pembroke prouder than ever.
