It’s that time of year again! The Annual Chili Fest returns on Thursday, November 20, at the Pembroke Fire Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Takeout will be available, but the guys and gals of the PFD always enjoy it most when folks join them over a hot bowl. All proceeds stay in our community to support local charities and organizations.
Jason Kelly, the organizer of the annual PFD Chili Fest, says the event is now well into its 25th year. It began as the Festival of Trees and eventually evolved into what it is today—the department’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
Jason says they are always looking for new charities to support, but they keep their core causes close to heart, especially as the holidays approach.
If you can’t make it on November 20, you can call the fire department to place an order ahead of time. Jason thanks Chief Selle, Pembroke C.A.O. David Unrau, and PFD Chief Administrative Assistant Wendy for all of their invaluable support for this tasty fundraiser.
See you on the 20th!
