The Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation (AOPFN) are hosting the 2025 AOPFN Career & Entrepreneurship Fair — a dynamic event designed to connect job seekers, students, and entrepreneurs with employers and business leaders across the region. On November 20th between 10AM and 4PM the fair will offer an opportunity to explore career paths, network, and take meaningful steps toward personal and professional growth.
Kyle Robinson, with Pikwakanagan First Nations Communications says that last year’s inaugural event set the tone for this year:
Robinson says that the fair will be an ideal opportunity for anyone who might be looking for a career change, looking to take on a new opportunity right out of school or just curious to see what’s out there. If you’re not sure if this is for you, he emphasizes that there will be a little something for everyone that day:
High school students, particularly those who are in their graduating year, should find the fair just the thing to discover new untapped opportunities which may give some that gentle push in a direction not necessarily considered before.
A handful of guest speakers will be featured throughout the day who will speak on a wide range of topics relevant to career choices.
Robinson emphasizes that this is a great opportunity for the First Nation to continue to build relationships with local communities and he truly hopes that folks will take full advantage of what will be offered that day.
