Tomorrow night the Festival Hall will be alive with the sights and sounds of remembrance as the 2nd annual “Festival of Remembrance” takes to the stage.
Christian Whelan is one of the artists who will be performing on Saturday night with his unique style of finger picking acoustic guitar. When asked if his music is classified as folk, roots or even classical his answer seems to be a blend of all three:
Music Healing Veterans will be on the bill as well lending their invaluable support to the spirit of the evening and Christian is no stranger to these guys musically as he tells us:
Stereo Typical is a band that’s very well known throughout the Valley and is never far from pitching in at a fundraiser especially one that benefits the military. Mirjana and James Oberfrank jumped at the opportunity to appear and as she puts it, it’s a cause very near and dear to both of their hearts:
Each of the musical acts will perform for about 30 minutes or so and Stereo Typical has come up with a set list specially tailored for the evening.
Rounding out the evening’s entertainment will be The Starz in Motion Dance Troupe which will offer a beautiful mix of visual talent mixed in with the voices of past and present veterans in an evening designed just for them.
Tickets are on sale now at Festivalhall.ca or at the Festival Hall Box Office and are $25 plus ticketing fees and HST.
