The Ottawa Valley Festival of Remembrance will return to Festival Hall @ L’Équinoxe on Nov. 8, 2025, for an evening honouring those who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces. Presented by Bergeron Clifford Injury Lawyers, the event features performances by Starz in Motion, veteran musician Christian Whelan, Stereo Typical and Music Healing Veterans.
Event co-chair Ian Kuehl tells myFM that interspersed among the musical performances will be some moving videos from veterans making it a unique evening of reflection:
Dez Bair-Patel is also helping to Chair the even alongside Kuehl and he says:
“We are incredibly proud to have Bergeron Clifford Injury Lawyers as our presenting sponsor for this year’s Festival. Their support is instrumental in helping us ensure the success of this meaningful tribute and allowing us to properly showcase the talents and stories of our remarkable veterans.”
He credits Kuehl with having the idea of celebrating our veterans through a very special and specific lens:
The wide array of talents that are slated to perform is a conscious attempt on the part of both Kuehl and Bair-Patel to offer an evening where there is a mixture of moods and genres that all come together to unite in a celebration of remembrance. There will be a little something for everyone who comes with an appetite for the artistic.
Last year’s beneficiary of the proceeds from the inaugural Festival of Remembrance was the Petawawa Legion but this year all of the proceeds will go towards the Fire Team K-9 Service Dog Program, which trains service dogs to assist veterans coping with mental and physical health challenges. Both organizers agree that this program is the best fit for the spirit of the evening:
Tickets are on sale now at Festivalhall.ca or at the Festival Hall Box Office and are $25 plus ticketing fees and HST. This is sure to be a night to remember.
