We are saddened to announce that Evelyn Giroux has gone home to her Lord, at Marianhill Hospice, with family by her side, on Wednesday October 22, 2025 at the age of 84 years. Evelyn Giroux (nee Castonguay) of LaPasse, beloved wife for 65 years of Adrien Giroux. Loved and cherished mother of Jim Giroux (Cindy), Marie Nieman (Ken), Louise Lafrance (Peter) and Theresa Giroux (Terry Smith). Loving grandmother to Christopher Giroux,, Adam (Sarah) Ronnie (Crystal) Nieman, Damien Oliviera (Tara) and Savannah Leblanc Predeceased by grandson Joshua Kreutz and infant granddaughter Jillian Giroux. Evelyn told her family she was so glad that she would be reunited with them. Great grandchildren, Dylan, Chloe, Draven, Joey , Sam, and Hayden Nieman and Rowen Oliviera-Higgins. Dear sister of Wallace “Wally” Castonguay (Elise). Daughter of the late Emery and Theresa (nee Etmanski) Castonguay.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Evelyn with her family, during memorial visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Thursday October 30th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday October 31st at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, LaPasse with Interment in the Parish Cemetery.In memory of Evelyn, donations to Marianhill Hospice or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish would be appreciated.
