One of the biggest fundraising events of the year for The Pembroke Regional Hospital went last Friday October 18th and according to Foundation Director Roger Martin, it was one for the record books.
The Normandy Officers’ Mess in Garrison Petawawa was the scene of the $250 per person event which included a complimentary drink, hors d’oeuvres, wine pairings and a four-course meal. The theme of the evening was “Magic and Masquerade” and the real magic was the fact that the evening raised over $418,000 for much needed new equipment at the PRH:
Why one for the record books you ask?:
Among the many pieces of equipment that are needed for the Hospital is a new CT scanner which is going to come with a price tag of roughly 2.5 million dollars. Martin says that nights like the one they had and the generosity of the public and business community is going to make this possible and he couldn’t be more grateful:
A huge thank you from Roger and his entire Team at PRH to everyone who participated in The Gala and who continue to support PRH all year long.
