The County of Renfrew and the Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation are teaming up to host Rooted in Resilience: Renfrew County Economic Development Summit on Nov. 25 at the Best Western Pembroke Inn & Conference Centre.
The one-day event aims to unite business leaders, youth innovators, and community partners to explore strategies for economic strength and growth.
“Resilience is the cornerstone of sustainable development,” said Cyndy Phillips, executive director of RCCFDC. “This summit will bring together the voices and ideas shaping Renfrew County’s future.”
Sessions will cover workforce development, business succession planning, and feature a youth-led panel from the Rural Ontario Institute’s Rural Change Makers program.
Master Corporal (Ret’d) Mike Trauner will deliver the closing keynote, sharing his story of perseverance and adaptability — themes organizers say mirror the challenges faced by local businesses.
The event, supported by FedDev Ontario, includes networking opportunities and a social hour. Registration is open until Nov. 18 at www.investrenfrewcounty.ca/summit, with early-bird pricing available until Oct. 31.
