Marlene Grace Krieger (nee Petznick) passed away peacefully at Bonnechere Manor on Wednesday September 17th in her 90th year. Wife of the late Mervin Krieger and cherished mother of Jayne Krieger (Michael Redmond), Pamela Krieger Auburn (Byron Auburn), Mary Lynne Dyck (Ray), Peter Krieger (Pam) and Jennifer Neff (Todd). Loving grandmother of Shelby Auburn, Olivia Neff and John Neff. Dear sister to Larry Petznick (Donna) and predeceased by her parents Arnold and Nora (nee Heckendorn) Petznick. Survived by brother-in-law Rodney Krieger (Margaret), sisters-in-law Arlene Krieger and Eva Krieger as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 6 sisters-in-law and 8 brothers- in-law.
Though dementia had robbed Mom of many things these past few years she never lost her sharp wit, sense of humour or love of sweets. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Bonnechere Manor (Pinnacle South) for their loving and compassionate care shown to Mom
Friends are invited to share their memories of Marlene with her family during visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke Ontario on Wednesday September 24, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday September 25 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Evangelical United Church 368 Miller Street, Pembroke. Interment Zion United Cemetery. In memory of Marlene donations to Golden Lake Church Camp-United, Ottawa Renfrew County Dementia Society or First Step Options would be appreciated.
