The 2nd annual Emergency Protective Services United event wrapped up Saturday from Stafford Park in Laurentian Valley and by all accounts it was a big hit.
The EPSU event featured Firefighters, Police and Paramedics all going head to head through obstacle courses all for an amazing cause and by all accounts, it was an even bigger hit than last year says organizer Sheena Lubitz:
A wide range of activities were offered, with plenty for kids, including a bouncy castle, obstacle course and more. Adults enjoyed a silent auction and raffle, while everyone enjoyed a great selection of food and drinks.
Money raised at the event will benefit St Jospeh’s Food Bank, Petawawa Pantry and The Renfrew County Special Olympics. The dunk tank alone raised over $220!
Lubitz and her fellow organizers are already looking ahead to next year as this is sure to become one of the favorite annual traditions here in The Valley in the years to come.
