The Whitewater Region will host Fibrefest in the village of Beachburg on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025 — a celebration of fibre arts highlighting the creativity and talent of local community groups.
Festival goers can browse the Fibre Goods and Textile Supply vendor show, stocked with materials and tools for creative pursuits, and discover handmade treasures at the Open Air Artisan Craft Market. Agricultural demonstrations like flax threshing and fleece shearing will bring fibre traditions to life. Visitors can also meet alpacas, sheep and goats for a hands-on farm experience.

Whether you’re an experienced fibre artist or just curious about the craft, Fibrefest has something for everyone. Interactive demonstrations will showcase a variety of techniques, with guild members sharing their expertise. Visitors can watch as artisans spin wool into yarn, weave colourful tapestries, and turn fleece into beautifully felted works of art.
