It’s already mid August and soon our attentions will turn to back to school and all that fall in The Valley has to offer. But not quite yet!
One of the absolute gems of the Pembroke Summer lineup is only a few short days away as the much awaited 2nd annual Pembroke Buskerfest is about to take over the city.
Beginning Friday August 22nd at The Waterfront, Buskerfest promises to have literally something for everyone that will appeal to any age. Maegan Adams, Committee Member with the Ottawa Valley Buskerfest says that while last year was a huge hit she just knows that this year will be even bigger and better:
One of the most common questions that Adams is asked is “what exactly goes on?” She gives us a tease for the opening night of the weekend:
Sponsorship is a huge aspect of putting on an event like this and the list of the companies and people backing this event is a veritable “Who’s Who” of Valley notoriety. Tanya Avery and Jessica Waiting of Century 21 Aspire Realty are the title sponsors for this years offering and they are thrilled to be involved in bringing this event to life says Adams:
Adams says that while Friday is going to be an amazing kick off, Saturday promises to be the highlight of the weekend:
The Waterfront comes alive on Friday August 22nd from 5 to 10PM and Saturday kicks into high gear all day from 11AM to 6PM. Maegan and all of the organizers hope that everyone will mark their calendars for this incredible near-end -of-summer blast right here in our own backyard. See you there!
