Chalk River labs will be conducting their annual stay in exercise during which the emergency siren will be sounding. The alarm will be audible to many in surrounding communities.
The test is a important part of their preparedness efforts and helps to ensure the effectiveness of their warning systems.
The siren will sound on Wednesday August 27th between 9am and 10am. There is no need for concern during this time.
