The County of Renfrew’s Economic Development Division is proud to present the Taste of the Valley event series – an annual celebration of all things grown, made, and created right here in Renfrew County.
Originally launched more than a decade ago to spotlight local food producers in the Ottawa Valley, Taste of the Valley has grown into a vibrant showcase of the region’s diverse offerings. Today, the event embraces a broader interpretation of “taste,” celebrating not only local food, but also handcrafted products, visual arts, and cultural experiences that reflect the unique spirit of our communities.
The second event of the 2025 Taste of the Valley season is in Laurentian Valley on Saturday, August 23, being held at the Alice and Fraser Recreation Centre (1 Henan Road – just 10 minutes outside of Pembroke) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Laurentian Valley event will feature nearly 80 vendors set up on the ball diamond and in the parking area. This all-outside event runs rain or shine and offers ample parking for visitors. The offerings will include fresh local produce alongside unique handcrafted products from talented artists and artisans, as well as baked goods, prepared hot food, jams and preserves from bakers and food producers across Renfrew County.
“We are thrilled to partner with the County of Renfrew to host Taste of the Valley this August at the Alice and Fraser Recreation Centre,” says Laurentian Valley Mayor Steve Bennett. “This event brings together the Valley’s vendors to celebrate farmers agri-businesses, makers and creators or all kinds and we are very so excited to be a part of this monumental event which we hope to be one of the greatest on record here in Laurentian Valley!”
