It was a pretty special day for the Pembroke Regional Hospital and Petawawa Toyota as not one but two significant donations were presented to the PRH totaling $50,000.
PRH Board Chair Lisa Edmonds was on hand to accept the donations on behalf of the hospital and she says that the monies presented will go a long way towards a very expensive potentially life saving piece of medical equipment:
The first cheque for $20,000 from the OTDA (Ontario Toyota Dealers Association) was presented to Edmonds by Petawawa Toyota GM Mike Douglas but Mike had something a little extra in mind:
The additional cheque for $30,000 from the dealership itself brought the total take for PRH to $50,000. Edmonds capped off the presentation by pointing out the invaluable importance of local business to the PRH:
PRH Executive Director Roger Martin and Community Fundraising Specialist Leigh Costello were on hand to accept the donations on behalf of the Hospital. They both expressed special thanks to everyone at Toyota Canada and especially to Mike Douglas and all of the fine staff at Petawawa Toyota for a remarkable day.
