Looking for activities that appeal to young people is not as easy these days as it was in the past it seems. The RCL is always on the lookout for programs that appeal to a younger audience.
The Legion supports youth through programs that promote remembrance, leadership, and sport. Initiatives include the Remembrance Poster and Literary Contests, partnerships with Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers, and sponsorship of youth athletics and leadership activities that foster teamwork, responsibility, and respect for freedom.
Chapter #72’s Youth Programs Chair person Laurette Halliday says that some of the programs are struggling to take off these days:

Audio PlayerOne of the biggest challenges that Halliday sees in young folks these days is their reliance on burying themselves in electronic devices means that they are missing out on all kinds of things outside that realm that the Legion has to offer.
