The 14th annual “Kids of Steel” Triathlon is coming back to Petawawa on Sunday July 6th and it promises to be even bigger and better than ever.
Held at The Garrison Petawawa at Dundonald Hall, the event features races for kids of ages from four to seventeen with various distances depending on age. Each race consists of a traditional triathlon format where there is a swimming, running and cycling leg.
Organizer Kirsten Waymann tells us how the triathlon got its start back in 2011:
Race start times are staggered on the day to allow for each age group to start and finish at a different time with the first race going off at 8:30AM.
Of course its crucial that racers stay well fed and hydrated so Kirsten tells us they’ve got that covered as well:
To register online, you will require a credit card to make your entry fee payment ($43 for existing Triathlon Ontario members, $50 for athletes requiring a day membership). Upon making your payment, you will receive a registration confirmation and your name on the list of registered athletes.
