Downtown Pembroke is getting a sweet new addition just in time for summer. The City of Pembroke and the Pembroke Business Improvement Area (PBIA) will officially welcome River Run Treats with a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting on Saturday, June 21, at 1:00 p.m. at the Pembroke Waterfront.
Owner Robert Soczka purchased the former What’s That Scoop in September 2024, rebranded it as River Run Treats, and served ice cream through Thanksgiving. This year, Rob has replaced the building, expanded the menu, and extended the hours to better serve the community.
Now open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., River Run Treats offers a wide selection of ice cream, grilled cheese sandwiches, coffee, branded merchandise, and more.
Soczka says he wants to create a place where locals and visitors can enjoy “fun and unique treat options” and receive friendly, reliable service. “Pembroke deserves a shop with consistent hours, great service, and a refreshing break from everyday stresses,” he shared.
Everyone is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and celebration at the waterfront. Come out and support a growing local business and enjoy a cool treat by the river!
