The City of Pembroke is shining a light on the power of community spirit, as Mayor Ron Gervais delivers a heartfelt message of gratitude to residents, organizations, and volunteers who help make the city thrive.
In a public letter, Mayor Gervais expressed his deep appreciation for the countless hours of dedication poured into Pembroke each year by volunteers. He emphasized how their efforts fill important service gaps, enhance the city’s quality of life, and support municipal services in meaningful ways.
“Volunteers step up time and time again,” wrote Gervais. “They make Pembroke better — and all because they love their community and want it to be the best version of itself.”
While acknowledging the pressures municipalities face — from infrastructure upkeep to service delivery — the mayor highlighted how the passion and expertise of local citizens continue to play a vital role in building a stronger, more vibrant Pembroke.
Mayor Gervais and City Council extended their sincere thanks to everyone who has given their time and talent to the community, stating: “This city would not be what it is without you.”
