My Broadcasting Corporation, owner of 104.9 myFM, is once again offering the Community First Scholarship. Any student entering college, university or a skilled trades program can apply. Simply submit a 60–90-second video to our website explaining what “community” means to you.
Melissa Siegel is the General Manager of Pembroke/Petawawa’s 104.9 myFM which is a company owned by MBC. Siegel stresses the fact that this is a really good fit seeing as myFM is all about community so being involved in this initiative is truly a great thing.
To be considered for this scholarship, a student must:
- Be a high school senior in an MBC radio station service area.
- Intend to pursue further studies in College, University or the Trades.
- Complete the personal information section below.
- Submit a 1-minute to 2-minute recording (your voice) or video sharing your thoughts on “What Community means to you”.
- The closing line of the recording should be “My name is (name). That’s what Community means to me”
- Audio and Application must be received by June 3rd at 7pm (est).
The recipient of the scholarship will get $2,500.00 towards their continuing education. Good luck!
