The Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre is excited to announce the launch of its 2025 Speaker Series on Tuesday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature the return of popular author Paul Ozorak, who will share fascinating tales from his book Tales of the Ottawa Valley.
Known for blending history with mystery, Ozorak will explore local ghost stories and UFO sightings from the Ottawa Valley. His talk promises an evening full of captivating stories and unexplained events from the region’s past.
Admission is by donation, and refreshments will be available during the evening. Attendees can also purchase copies of Ozorak’s book, Tales of the Ottawa Valley: History with a Bit of Humour, at the event.
The event is hosted by the Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre, operated by the Ottawa Valley Historical Society, which preserves and shares the rich history of Pembroke and the surrounding area. The centre holds a collection of over 10,000 historical artifacts and is a key cultural hub in the region.
