The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation announced its 3rd annual Community Challenge for Healthcare, running March 1st to 31st. Local individuals and businesses are invited to become “Healthcare Challengers” by supporting regional hospital services in a unique and creative way. Participants will receive special recognition for their efforts to bolster local health care.
Fundraising Specialist Leigh Costello tells myFM just exactly what the challenge entails:
Fundraising is never an easy task particularly when so many of us are facing financial challenges of our own. The fact that The PRH has become such a huge part of the Ottawa Valley health care community for so many years makes it all the more worthwhile to consider donating as so many have and continue to do. What’s unique about this approach, Costello explains, is that donators can get creative and develop their own campaign:
While pretty much every function of the hospital is worthy of support with nearly 7,000 annual surgeries being performed, this campaign seeks to focus on one critical need :
The Hospital is very grateful to its many supporters which include the likes of Frank Carroll Financial, The Brick Pembroke, Roseburg Forest Products, Stephanie Hughes, MacEwen and many others. Costello explains that there is always room for more:
The Foundation hopes that this year will see a record number of donations and as always a hearty thank you to everyone involved.
