The Pembroke Horticultural Society is 100 years old as of 2024 and members of the group were onhand at the latest City Council meeting to present Mayor Gervais with a commemorative book marking the milestone.
Ellen Vandersleen, Society President is excited about the release of the book which goes into depth as to the history of the group that has been around to beautify Pembroke for longer than most remember.
Ellen and her terrific Team are most proud of the Pembroke Waterfront and Pansy Patch Park which she calls “Pembroke’s hidden jewel”.
