The Auxiliary Unit of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment is inviting the community to help support those in need this holiday season by participating in their annual “Stuff a Cruiser” event on December 14. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at several local locations.
Members of the OPP Auxiliary Unit will be stationed with police cruisers at various spots, including:
- Wal-Mart in Laurentian Valley Township
- No Frills, Metro, and Giant Tiger in the City of Pembroke
- Independent Grocers in the Town of Petawawa
The event encourages the donation of non-perishable food items and toys. All food donations will benefit the St. Joseph’s Food Bank and the Petawawa Pantry Food Bank. Toy donations will be forwarded to the Pembroke Kiwanis Club Toy Drive for distribution to local families.
This annual event is a wonderful way for the community to come together and support those in need during the holiday season. Whether you’re shopping for groceries or holiday gifts, consider stopping by and making a donation to help fill the cruisers and bring holiday cheer to those who could use a little extra support.
