COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: small town, big hearts: Jammy Jam triples donations for local women’s shelter!

The Third Annual Jammy Jam fundraiser for The Bernadette McCann House has grown bigger each year and won’t stop. On September 28th, Lasso Live was packed with the community from 5:00 p.m. till 2:00 a.m. with local musicians, silent auctions, raffles and more.

Ginny Ranger the creator of Jammy Jam tells myFM how over the years she has seen this event grow each year and is so happy to see the community get involved with helping the local women’s shelter.

This year the fundraiser raised $6,487.72 almost tripling their amount from last years total of $2,069. Ranger explains that she started this fundraiser for her birthday to give back instead of receive gifts. As the years go on and the event gets bigger, she knows that she is doing the right thing for the community.

There were so many local musicians who participated in the event for free, the band line-up was Ginny and The Re-A-Rangers, Beyond Driven, Sawmill Road, CHOIRZ, Breaking waves, CHI, Dale Yuke, Dee Myler, Danielle Hewitt and Stella Panacci. Next years Jammy Jam Fundraiser will be even bigger than this year, stated Ranger. She has already planned for a committee to help organize the event as there is lots on her plate. Make sure to keep your eyes and ears open as Ginny starts to plan for next year!
