The forecast for Beachburg? Fair all weekend.
The 168th edition of the Beachburg Fair kicks off Thursday, July 4 and by all accounts, there’s something for everyone at this year’s event, which runs through to Sunday.
Sunflower Hour, for those who feel overwhelmed by sights, sounds and crowds, runs from 2-4 p.m. today (Thursday) with gates opening to the general public at 5 p.m.
Admission to the fair is by donation ($5 suggestion). Robertson Amusements is running the midway and Thursday is toonie night with all rides costing $2. A horse pull at 6:30 p.m. and Urban Cowboy Line Dancing in the beer gardens will round out tonight’s events.
Organizers say the Beachburg Agricultural Society has planned an event that showcases the unique spirit of the village and its surrounding communities, celebrating local agriculture, artisans, entertainment, and more.
Highlights include Friday’s demolition derby and Saturday’s live entertainment, featuring the Ghost Town Cryers.
The midway, agricultural shows, kids’ zone and delicious delectables will all be part of the fun.
The fair runs July 4-7. Visit BeachburgFair.ca for the full schedule of events.
