Four people have been arrested and charged with drugs and weapons offences after in tip into police. On Thursday, Upper Ottawa Valley were told of a firearm in a vehicle along Highway 17. A short time later, the vehicle was stopped on Paul Martin Drive near Woodcrest Drive in Pembroke. Three young men from Ottawa and one from Quebec are now facing numerous charges.
Loaded firearms, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and a quantity of suspected cocaine were seized by police.
As a result of the investigation Zayvion NOBLE, age 20 of Pierrefonds, QC, Dayquon ZULU, age 19 of Ottawa, David PEPIN, age 18 of Ottawa, and Aunyx PROULX, age 19 of Ottawa have each been charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and Criminal Code (CC) offences:
- Traffick in a schedule substance – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner – two counts
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited device or ammunition – two counts
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with
PEPIN faces the following additional CC charges:
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose – two counts
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon – two counts
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner – two counts
NOBLE faces the following additional CC charges:
- Failure to comply with undertaking – three counts
ZULU faces the following additional CC charges:
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – three counts
