It’s a dream come true for the Upper Ottawa Valley Little League. It was announced during last night’s Sportsnet broadcast of the Blue Jays game that the organization has won the Field of Dreams grant from the Jays Care Foundation. Amanda Williamson, the President of Little League tells myFM how the money will be spent.
Work is expected to start in August and will be completed by next spring. The President of Little League also tells myFM this process started long ago.
When it comes to doing the work, Williamson says they’ve already hired local contractors.
In total, the Jays Care Foundation awarded $1.5 million in grants to baseball organizations across Canada for baseball field improvements.
