Deep River and District Health (DRDH) once again united to recognize and celebrate the exceptional contributions of its team members at the organization’s annual Springtime Social held on April 12, 2024. The event, a cherished tradition, honored service milestone recipients, peer recognition awardees, and highlighted significant achievements from the past year.
Janna Hotson, President and CEO of DRDH, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the dedication and hard work exhibited by the entire team, emphasizing the event’s significance in acknowledging the efforts that propel the organization forward. She remarked, “Each member of our team plays a vital role in our success, and it is truly inspiring to recognize our team’s service achievements and celebrate each other.”
David Cox, DRDH Board Chair, echoed Hotson’s sentiments, extending appreciation to all team members on behalf of the Board of Directors. Cox emphasized the commitment and passion of the team as instrumental in the organization’s accomplishments and positive impact on the communities served.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the Essential Pieces Award, given to an individual who embodies DRDH’s Mission, Vision, and Values. This year, the award was bestowed upon Michelle, a Registered Nurse recognized by her peers for her compassion, caring, and excellence in patient care over her nearly 15 years at DRDH. Hotson commended Michelle’s dedication and presented her with the award, acknowledging her kindness, compassion, and unwavering support for her peers.
The Springtime Social also recognized eight deserving nominees for the Essential Pieces Award, representing various departments within the organization. Additionally, DRDH celebrated employees who reached significant service milestones in 2023, honoring their commitment and loyalty. Special recognition was given to retirees who dedicated over a decade, with one individual serving for over 40 years.
Furthermore, the event provided an opportunity to express appreciation to team members who responded to a fire incident on the organization’s roof in November. DRDH acknowledged the swift and effective actions of those involved, underscoring their contributions to the safe outcome experienced by all.
In conclusion, DRDH extended sincere gratitude to all team members who participated in the Springtime Social, recognizing their ongoing commitment to excellence as integral to the organization’s continued growth and success.
