The Pembroke Business Improvement Area (PBIA) is inviting individuals and groups to participate in Downtown’s second Community Art Walk. Last year’s event was a success, according to Bethea Summers, Executive Director of PBIA.
This year, they aim to display 50 pieces of art but need community support. Interested parties, regardless of artistic experience, can request a canvas from PBIA. Canvases, provided with primer, and sealant, must be requested by April 14th, with pick-up starting from April 22nd. Finished paintings should be returned by June 10th, with installation planned for the week of June 17th.
Summers emphasizes the accessibility and affordability of participation, highlighting that the activity is not only fun but also cost-free for artists.
The project is made possible through the generous donation of canvases by Mike’s Hardware, a contribution without which this initiative would not be feasible. Summers emphasizes the significance of such activities for community engagement and enrichment.
