Environment Canada’s snowfall warning is continuing today. Weather officials say that snow will be on and off until later tonight which could cause some travel problems. Hydro One is dealing with several power outages in the region this morning. The strong winds last night knocked out power for close to 200 customers around Laurentian Valley, while another 1000 are without power between Bonnechere Valley and Golden Lake. Some remain in the dark on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River as well. Luckily, power is expected to be restored by 11 o’clock this morning. As for school bus transportation, only buses in Zone 4 of the Madawaska Valley area are not running this morning. The schools, however, are still open for in-person learning.
