A Pembroke man is facing drug and weapons charges after police investigated a report of someone carrying a long gun in a residential area of Pembroke.
Upper Ottawa Valley OPP say the incident took place around 3 p.m. on Feb. 13. They located the man on James Street and he was taken into custody without incident. A firearm was seized as part of the investigation.
Dion Ranger, 45, is facing Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges, including: four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order; and possession of a schedule I substance – hydromorphone and methamphetamine.
The charges have not been proven in court.
