Upper Ottawa Valley Parish Nursing Initiative and United Way East Ontario are hosting a Volunteer Fair on Thursday, Feb. 8 from 3-6 p.m. at Calvin United Church, 276 Church St. in Pembroke. The volunteer fair is open to all ages, whether you’re looking for something to do in retirement or are a student looking to log high school community hours or gain references for future jobs. The Rankin Winter Carnival hosts Euchre Thursday night at the Rankin Culture & Recreation Centre, Rankin Rink Road. Rounds start at 7pm and the cost is $5 per person. Cash bar on site.

U11 House League – Pembroke visits Barry’s Bay at 6pm and Renfrew heads to Eganville also at 6pm.
U13 House League – Arnprior welcomes Pembroke at 6:30 and Petawawa is in Eganville beginning at 7.
The Pembroke Lumber Kings visit the Cornwall Colts on Thursday night. Game time is 7:30 and that’s a broadcast game here on myFM.
