Since the Kinsmen pool closed down, Best Western Pembroke Inn and Conference Centre and Pembroke Fitness Centre have been getting phone call after phone call asking if the canceled public services would be offered at their pool instead.
The Best Western will not be opening their pool to the public. They stated that they are not properly insured for, or equipped to offer swimming lessons, lane swims or any other service.
They still offer memberships, aqua fit and drop-in swims on a first come, first served basis.
