The Pembroke Lumber Kings are searching for their first win at the CCHL Showcase currently underway at the Bell Sens Plex in Ottawa. After winning four straight, the Kings fell 2-1 in OT to the CP Canadians on Sunday. Pembroke also failed to find their scoring touch yesterday in a 3-1 loss to the Nepean Raiders. After a scoreless first period, the Raiders tallied first at 17:34 of the second. Nepean would go on to add two more in the third before Lucas Legault would score his first of the year with less than a minute to play in regulation. Netminder Phil Rondina was solid once again in his second start for Pembroke, making 24 saves in the loss. The Kings will close out the showcase this afternoon when they take on the Navan Grads. Game time from the Richcraft Sensplex is at 1:45.
