The War Amps hosted a weekend event at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa, where Megan Mantha, 12, of Pembroke participated in various activities. Megan, a left arm amputee since birth, is part of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program, which provides financial support for artificial limbs and specialized devices.
The event was a chance for Champs and their families to learn about The War Amps and its programs, and to network with other amputees who share similar experiences. Megan enjoyed meeting new and old friends in a welcoming environment that understands her journey. The event also featured inspiring activities to encourage young amputees to lead fulfilling and active lives. War Amps representative Rob Larman is seen with Megan in the photo.
