Hooray for Coaches Day – Whitney Harrison

Whitney is a dedicated mother of two, who spent her summer coaching soccer with the Shady Nook organization.  The league is designed for players from 3-14 years-old and Whitney tells myFM that it was actually her sister that got her involved.  She goes on to say that they had an amazing group of kids this past summer and that made the volunteering that much easier.  Harrison mentions that seeing the kids smile and laugh while making memories with their friends on the soccer field is the best feeling in the world.  When it comes to teaching soccer, Whitney says showing kids the basics of the game and watching them improve and develop their own ways is a win in itself. She says she plans to continue coaching for many seasons to come, especially if her sister and her children keep the interest in soccer.
