Because infrastructure activity is currently on hold during the Quebec Construction Holiday, the Municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes thinks it a good time to advise residents and visitors about on-going work.
The water and sewer and pumping station project in the village of Chapeau has reached the mid-way point and is quickly approaching completion.
Crews from G.N.P. Entreprises report being slightly ahead of schedule, and will continue on the section from Pembroke Road to St-Alphonsus church throughout August and September.
Mechanical and electrical work on the pumping station located on Pembroke Road near Front Street will resume in September.
Sidewalks on St-Jacques Street and paving of all streets will start in September.
On the morning of August 7th St Jacques Street will close once again at the intersection of Pembroke
Road. Detours will be in effect; the intersections will remain open.
All business remain open through the construction period and appreciate your support.
