The Royal Canadian Air Force has identified the victims of a helicopter crash near Garrison Petawawa.
32 year-old Captain David Domagala and 53-year-old Captain Marc Larouche were part of a crew of four in a Chinook helicopter that fell into the Ottawa River during a night-time training exercise on Tuesday, June 13th.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is now underway as Garrison Petawawa warns boaters near Black Bear Beach and the Jubilee Lodge Marina that debris could still be in the area.
They ask you not touch the debris, rather note and mark the location if possible before leaving to either call Garrison Petawawa’s Military Police at 613-687-5555 or 911.
