Good news for local baseball players. The over 30-year-old scoreboard at ball diamond four at Riverside Park is getting replaced, thanks to Bogies Bar. The organization has purchased a new 18X8 scoreboard for the field that will feature translucent white LED digits for visually impaired people, a wireless hand held control and wireless receiver. The cost of the scoreboard is around $25,000 and installation will happen the first week of July in time for the Little League Ontario’s Senior Provincials, July 6th – 10th hosted at Riverside Park.
Bogies Bar, located in the PMC support special events and Pembroke Lumber King games with profits from bar sales going back into community projects exclusively. Bogies Bar has supported many community projects in the past, including a new splash pad, benches, tables and tots playground equipment at Riverside Park, the Jim Sloan Ball Hockey Tournament and continues to be a contributing factor for Movie Night in the Park, hosted annually at the Riverwalk Amphitheatre featuring eight films throughout the summer months.
