A disturbance near Golden Lake has resulted in a number of criminal charges for a man from Pikwakanagan.
Officers from the Killaloe OPP were called to a home in the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation community to investigate the issue at about 6:00pm on Monday, March 20th.
They would eventually arrest 35-year-old Nathaniel Amikons on a total of 12 charges, including:
- Assault (two counts);
- Assault with a weapon;
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm (three counts);
- Resisting a peace officer;
- Mischief to property under $5000 (four counts); and,
- Failing to comply with probation order.
He has since been released from custody under conditions, and has a court date in Killaloe for April 12th.
